The projects of the Cyprus Peace and Dialogue Centre aim to strengthen trust, dialogue, and cooperation across communities. Although developed in different fields, both Embrace and C-UP share a common goal: to generate inclusive and innovative solutions that contribute to a sustainable peace in Cyprus.
WOMEN MAKING PEACE
A GRASSROOTS INTERVENTION FOR A UNITED CYPRUS
A PROJECT IMPLEMENTED BY THE CENTER FOR GENDER EQUALITY AND HISTORY IN COOPERATION WITH THE CYPRUS PEACE AND DIALOGUE CENTRE WITH THE AIM TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A METHODOLOGY FOR INVOLVING WOMEN OF CYPRUS IN THE PEACEBUILDING PROCESS ―FROM THE GRASSROOTS LEVEL TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF THE NEGOTIATIONS


C-UP: Updated Cyprus Peace Process Design
The C-UP initiative introduces the practice of deliberative democracy into the Cyprus peace process, shifting from traditional top-down negotiations to a citizen-centered dialogue. By involving individuals from across communities, it promotes a more inclusive, transparent, and sustainable vision for peace.
EMBRACE: Rights for Reconciliation Project
The Embrace project addresses discriminatory human rights violations that have emerged as a result of the Cyprus conflict. Supported by the European Union, the project adopts a rights-based approach to foster trust among communities and strengthen pathways towards reconciliation.
